About AARC
Our Identity
The Academic Analytics Research Center (AARC) is a research-focused independent non-profit organization dedicated to turning the lens of inquiry back onto the academy. We collaborate with colleagues globally to study the structural dynamics of higher education—from tenure pipelines and funding distribution to the systemic effects of institutional policy.
Meet Our Team

Anthony J. Olejniczak, Ph.D.
Director
Anthony studies the higher education research enterprise. Through scientometric research, Anthony seeks to promote generative dialogue about equity in scholarly research, access to research resources, and publishing practices across disciplines. An anthropologist by training, Anthony co-founded Academic Analytics in 2005 and has since divested himself all equity interest and managerial roles to direct AARC independently.

Jamie Powers, Ph.D.
Research Scientist
Jamie is a systems-oriented researcher and evaluator whose work examines how multi-level structures (e.g., organizational, interpersonal, and individual) influence research and equity across educational settings. A public health evaluator by training, she holds a BS (’11) and MPH (’13) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a PhD (’24) in Research Methods and Statistics from the University of Denver.

Bill Savage, Ph.D.
Senior Researcher
Bill was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. After completing military service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he went to Arizona State University for his bachelor’s degree and the University of Hawaii, East-West Center, for a master’s degree. He spent three years in Taiwan studying Chinese and then attended the University of Michigan for his Ph.D.
